Leadership at Sullivan University
Led the 2018 and 2019 Sullivan Interior Design Summer Camps for high school students in which they learned about hospitality design and designed projects in Google SketchUp.

Taught three classes for a faculty member during the last month of the semester due to an unexpected illness. The classes consisted of a second year Interior Environmental Control Systems class, in which I helped students understand how factors in the environment - sunlight, heating, cooling, thermal, electrical etc. - can effect building performance.
The other classes consisted of a third year Interior Material and Construction Detailing class, in which I assisted students in putting together a detailed set of construction documents, and the third year Workplace Design Studio, in which I provided feedback for each students’ workplace design project, which consisted of different concepts, logos, floorplans, 3D renderings, etc. for their studio final.

Assisted two interior design professors and UK HealthCare with collecting and entering data for a pre- and post occupancy evaluation comparing the design efficiency of the cardiovascular unit in the old UK hospital with the new UK Chandler hospital. Took part in the research studies, entered data, created infographics representing the data, and created a report utilizing my graphic design skills to show the results from the pre- and post-occupancy evaluation (click to view report).

Projects:
Feb.-June 2020: Assisted in the space planning, FF&E selection and installation during the renovation process for The Barre Code, a women's fitness boutique in Louisville, KY.
Feb. 2014: Created multiple floorplan furniture options for Allstate Insurance Office to assist in the space planning and circulation of office layout for client.
July 2014: Produced 3D renderings and conceptual ideas for Whiskey Row Loft Apartment in downtown Louisville for a client (click to see design).

IDEA State U Kentucky Regional Competition
Finalist | March 2017
Was selected to pitch i-Remember™ at the regional competition at Lindsey Wilson College. My team submitted a business plan and marketing video you can view here. We created a marketing display and pitched my idea to business and entrepreneurial professionals.
UK Venture Challenge Competition
1st Place $1,500 Cash Prize | Feb. 2017
Competed in the University of Kentucky Venture Challenge Competition and pitched i-Remember™ to a panel of judges. My team placed first winning $1,500, and we were entered into the IDEA State U Competition.
UK Venture Studio Bootcamp Competition
5th Place $250 Cash Prize | Dec. 2016
Competed in the end of the year Venture Studio Competition and pitched i-Remember™ to judges. i-Remember™ came in 5th place winning $250. Our team was the only team to place that was not lead by a UK faculty member or experienced professional. I was the team leader and had two other UK students on my team.

Best Friends Adult Day Care Center for Alzheimer's

Have been volunteering every Friday to help Alzheimer's patients and keep them company while they attend Best Friends. The people at Best Friends became a huge part of my Master's Project.
