i-Remember™ is an app designed to help people with Alzheimer’s remember their life story. The goal is to help them remember their life through personal photographs and favorite songs.

Personal photographs associated with songs create emotional responses and connections to certain personal memories for anyone. Songs and lyrics are able to stay in a person’s memory as one ages, so a person with Alzheimer’s or dementia is able to recall songs and lyrics from his or her past. Ideally, family and caregivers would set up and operate the app for their loved one or patient with the disease.

Alzheimer's and dementia patients may have a decline in fine motor functioning skills, which creates challenges with grabbing and holding onto objects. This gripper case prototype would go around the tablet or iPad and is designed for older adults to be able to fully grasp the device with confidence. There are handles on both sides of the case that can provide users with a more comfortable interaction while holding onto and operating the iPad or tablet.
